Log #6: the best yakuza movies in my opinion! (Get you baodin iron balls out)

Now you might need you Chinese stress balls for this post, as we are talking about Japanese yakuza films!  And we all kniw what fidget toy they love using, Chinese stress balls (baoding iron balls) when stressed when they are not using the swords and guns!    That being said most I watched (though not since high school) and some (one I have not seen).   That being said I did a power point presentation on these movies as a high school student and got top grades!   Though, I started to follow the code of conduct as human being in later 2003 this is a code I believe that every living human being should follow to be a good person.  This is a a code of honour and respect as well as a how to be a good person:   Always be polite, fight for what you believe in, and protect the innocent.  Stuff like that.  Though they were no different from the samurai, except for being tattooed, this was the nail in their coffin.   Despite their code of conduct they were branded thugs in ancient Japan because of their tattoos!  Now if you ever met a tattooed or pierced person they are actually great people.   So I will give you these movies as a good reference point.     Though it needs to be noted that this code of conduct is rather helpful to some people (like me).

Hana-bi, this is a rather good movie to some people though I have not seen it my self that being said it was not really my favourite as I never saw this movie.  Though I did do a power point presentation on this movie as well as the ‘yakuza in love’. This was supposed to be a great movie.   I will not that they have not made a good movie showcasing the code of conduct that these people have to follow Inorder to be yakuza.

That being said, I have zero tolerance for bullying, abilism and racism because of this unique code of conduct that I personally follow right down to the types of fidgets I use to sooth myself.   That being I think this is about a police officer who has to rob a bank to get the villainous yakuza off his back.  Or something to that effect.  I could be wrong with that assumption.

I must say I don’t know what is with the sub flower on the cover art that being said it just draws your attention even more to the movie, though I never seen this movie,  heard great things about it, though I might have some contributing movies to add to this list, this is my list so keep that in mind.  I also will be doing some research on anime and other great things too so that being said I would rather just say that I unfortunately missed out on this movie 😰

This one is a  cult classic that being a part of the yakuza papers series, four movies that explore post Hiroshima atomic blast movie.   Now if you are not family Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed by American forces using some atom bombs called fat man and little boy!  Though I can’t be two which hit which city…..but I can said that it a very Barbaric act on our part.   That being said this and the other yakuza paper movies take place after the a-bombings!  This is going to start off slowly and like an angry little kid, will work it self up into a fast frenzy that will take you by storm.

The battles without honour and humanity are very violent once it worked it self up, though I learned that in a yakuza funeral they still gamble?   What the actual hell.

I think I saw this in my 20s though I never saw it in high school, though it would probably not help my mood in highschool that being said I think these are good movies though they are old and sometimes stories wise very slow and rather dull at times.  If you want you can watch this on tubi tv or on Amazon prime though I never watched this on amazon prime.   I would be rather interesting.  That being said if you want to watch this, great.

Brother is a great movie, it takes place in LA, during a gang war between the Italian and Japanese mafia!   That being, it is rather foul in it language and I didn’t  like that at first.  Though it will grow on you!  That being said it is about an exhile who is kicked out of Tokyo and has to help with this gang war.

That being said it is think was the movies that more less introduced me to the stress balls that I use to this day that being said I will do a brief history on these nerds and a post highly recommending these nerds (balls too). That being said there was a scene were the boss (oyabun) walked in and he had a big red pair of Chinese stress balls, though my mother thought it was to show his p/her authority.  That being said the bigger the nerds the bigger the stress, and you will see in this movie that yakuza have a lot of stress!

And why shouldn’t you when you think idiots are going to kill you are put you in jail!  Something the Japanese mob say is being on the job -going to prison -oddly enough,  though I would not nor want the displeasure of knowing about this fact.   Keep in mind that everyone in this under world is trying to kill you for money or glory!  That being said I just follow the code of conduct I don’t agree with crime nor want to!

This is an instant classic movie, kill bill volume one!  This is a rather  and amusingly violent show that features great music and great characters and aspects of human psychology.   That being said the music in the opening credits is by Nancy Sinatra , bang bang, though I loved the song so much that when I learned the guitar, it was the first song I learned.  🥹 That being, other then introducing me to blues/country….it also was interesting to see how in a demented way the human mind will work.   Though there are no Chinese stress balls to be found i see the yakuza has made more then an appearance in the movie.  They are, besides the angry bride is the yakuza as a main concept.

Though the head of all bosses, O-ren Ishii, is rather twirly with anti social personality (psychopath) and over flowing with childhood trauma brought on by the yakuza killing her parents.  Who were a Japanese woman and an American service men!  Yes she like me is part Asian and white.  That being said are all people who are part Asian evil?   Hell no, but she is certainly the devil.

So you can imagine that I had a lot of stereotypes to tear down as a part Central Asia part white girl in high school…,though it did not help that I had a mental illness at the time and a severe depression.  So you can imagine that everyone called me Oren!

This I will tell you the blind swordsman was a very good movie series when I was in high school though, I would watch this religiously every weekend.  This was a rather interesting and entertaining series.  That being said it is about a blind yakuza who is against a bunch of more evil ones!  This will show case the honour that the yakuza hold despite their image!  That said he is saving and the weak, innocent and the disabled from the forced of the evil and villainous people, who are ready to take advantage of  them.

This is also features a disabled man (blind) who will do anything to do got in society though he is a yakuza too! This actually shows the human side of the yakuza and not so much the money driven and assigning things that the modern yakuza do these days.    You have to remember that zatoich was a yakuza but he was not interested in money or fame he was more interested helping the normal people who weren’t as powerful!   Keep this in mind that these movies show the good and bad of  the yakuza.

Though I  never though in highschool that I would see s good yakuza that being said I rather see more movies like these that are actually showing the good as well as the bad in this society.  That being said I found this bunch of movies rather entertaining and inspiring ad someone who has a disability, it shows that even we (the disabled) can make a positive difference in there world.  This is why I started Elena’s moon garden the blog project and why my friend Gwen and I started to do ducky and the alien on YouTube, because it is not just fun but it shows that we can do anything we want (that is positive).

Though I have many blogs I still like doing Elena’s moon garden, not just a actual moon garden but also to show that people like me Gwen or anyone with a ‘disability’ is rather capable of doing some great things like zatoichi, temple grendon and Hellen Keller!  Just keep that in mind that this blog and all my blogs are own by ‘disabled’ people, namely me or another person who are neurodivergent and rather capable of doing good.  And we will not put of with abilism, bullying or races, and homo/transphobia!    That being said stay tuned to hear me about the stress  balls that I might have mentioned in the post!

The yakuza, the film is a great movie though I will tell you it is about the p.i. Getting ready to find a kidnapped woman for her father and have to confront the yakuza.   That being said do you think that the yakuza committ seppuku or ritual suicide.   No this I learned in this movie was the removal of the pinkie finger.  This was similar though you had to live with the embarrassment of whatever you did.  That being said I will mention that I don’t believe in any self injurious behaviour inorder to say ‘sorry’ or ‘i fucked up’. That being g said I have been down that road many times before getting the balls in my hand.   Though at the end a guy with a slide on his head dies -someone who wasn’t suppose to die did die.

There are many other different  yakuza films from, lost girls and love hotels and other good movies though I would not recommend lost girls and love hotels to you as it is rather raunch and I remember reading it once and my parents almost had a anorism just letting me read this book!  Though other more appropriate books would be the confessions of a yakuza, that highlights the code of conduct with the yakuza and how they used to be.   That being said I will end it there, these are the movies I would recommend for you to read next time in my monster smut reviews i will mention the books that I rather like and some that my parents did not like.   Keep in mind that we are all human here and non of us are invalid!  Though our url might be if it doesn’t exist!😅

That being said I hope you have a good morning/noon or night.  Make good choices.
